TES Announces Appointment of Hugo Dijkgraaf as Chief Operating Officer and Board Member
The Board of Tree Energy Solutions (“TES”), a global green energy company leading the way in the production of e-NG (electric natural gas derived from green hydrogen), is pleased to announce the appointment of Hugo Dijkgraaf as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and a new member of the Board. Hugo brings a wealth of experience in energy and energy transition and a commitment to operational excellence that will be instrumental as TES continues its mission to reduce global emissions and scale up the hydrogen economy to achieve net-zero goals.
Hugo joins TES at a pivotal moment, as the company rapidly expands to meet the growing demand for affordable, green energy. His expertise will be crucial in driving the operational efficiency and scalability needed to deliver on TES’s innovative business model, which combines hydrogen with recycled CO₂.
With over 25 years of international leadership in the energy sector, particularly in project development and operations, Hugo has a proven track record of delivering technological innovation and operational excellence. His experience in reducing emissions aligns perfectly with TES' core mission to win the race against climate change. As COO, Hugo will oversee the company’s operations, projects, technology and drive strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and growth. He will be an integral part of the leadership team to ensure excellence and bring projects into life.
Prior to joining TES, Hugo served as a member of the Executive Board at Wintershall Dea, Europe’s largest upstream independent gas and oil company, partially owned by BASF. There, he was responsible for the delivery of technology and innovation across the company, for driving profitable growth, their global project development and production portfolio as well as their collective technical capabilities. He also spearheaded the company’s greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, hydrogen programs, and Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) business.
Throughout his career, Hugo has held various technical, strategic and operational roles, while working in diverse environments, from the Libyan desert to Patagonia, Argentina, and offshore platforms in the North Sea and Norway’s fjords.
TES’ Chairmen, Marcel and Paul van Poecke, along with CEO Marco Alverà, warmly welcomed Hugo to the TES team, commending his strong expertise in project development and operational excellence. They emphasised how his skills will be crucial in advancing TES' projects to meet rising demand.
