TES has been appointed Chair of the e-NG Coalition for 2025, marking a milestone in advancing the global development of e-NG (electric Natural Gas) and its value chain. Officially established on October 20, 2024, the coalition is a collaborative alliance of leading energy companies committed to delivering scalable, pragmatic solutions for decarbonization.
The e-NG Coalition, launched in March 2024 with 9 founding members—Engie, Mitsubishi Corporation, Osaka Gas, RWE, Sempra Infrastructure, TES, Toho Gas, Tokyo Gas, and TotalEnergies—has now taken a significant step forward in its governance structure. In this context, TES is pleased to announce that Yves Vercammen, its Chief Corporate Officer, has been appointed Chair of the e-NG Coalition’s Board, with Yuji Kobayashi, Senior General Manager of e-Methane Business Development at Tokyo Gas, serving as Vice-Chair. Under the leadership of Yves Vercammen and Yuji Kobayashi, the coalition brings together deep expertise from Europe and Asia to ensure a balanced and inclusive approach. This global perspective ensures alignment with evolving policy and regulatory frameworks worldwide.
Driving the global development of e-NG
As Chair for 2025, TES is committed to advancing e-NG as a key drop-in fuel for the energy transition. By leveraging existing natural gas infrastructure, e-NG offers a practical and innovative path toward meeting global energy demand while transitioning to cleaner energy. The coalition’s initiatives will focus on fostering global cooperation, supporting policy development, and harmonizing regulations and standards to accelerate the development and adoption of e-NG in diverse markets.
Marco Alverà, Co-founder and CEO of TES, commented: “We are proud to serve as Chair of the e-NG Coalition for 2025, with Yves Vercammen as Chair of the Board. e-NG offers a promising and affordable transition, advancing the path to a carbon-neutral or carbon-negative society while diversifying energy supplies without the need for a complete transformation of the energy system.”
Yves Vercammen, Chief Corporate Officer and Chair of the e-NG Coalition Board commented: “It is an honour to serve as the inaugural Chair of the e-NG Coalition during this transformative period for the energy sector. By uniting global expertise, innovation, and ambition, we are equipped to tackle decarbonization with drop-in molecules.”
Kristiana Gjinaj, VP External Relations, who led the creation and establishment of the coalition, commented: " TES played a key role in establishing the e-NG Coalition, working closely with founding members and uniting stakeholders across industries and regions to launch a global platform in less than a year. This coalition reflects a shared belief in e-NG’s role in the energy transition and demonstrates the power of collaboration in building a shared vision and driving market growth.

About TES

TES is a global green energy company focused on developing giga-scale projects to produce hydrogen-based e-fuels, such as e-NG (electric natural gas made from green hydrogen and CO2). Based in Europe and operating worldwide, TES utilises renewable energy sources—such as solar, wind, and hydro—combined with climate-neutral CO2 to create e-NG, a drop-in fuel that can replace fossil natural gas. This scalable and cost-effective approach aims to provide reliable and affordable green energy globally. TES seeks to accelerate the adoption of green molecules across various sectors by making them easy to transport and consume to deliver on real zero targets and win the climate race.
