What does the future of energy look like? In Wilhelmshaven, in the north of Germany, a new world is emerging. Our project aims to be the largest hydrogen plant in Europe and is based on renewable sources.
Today we inaugurated the Wilhelmshaven Green Energy Hub Showroom and we had the pleasure to have to join us Carsten Feist, the Mayor of Wilhelmshaven and Olaf Lies, Minister for Environment, Energy, Building and Climate Protection in Lower Saxony. The Green Energy Hub Showroom is a place for guests to explore, experiment and be inspired by the world’s most precious element: hydrogen.
Our terminal in Wilhelmshaven is planned to come on stream in 2025 and will revolutionise the way we think of energy, providing a greener alternative to fossil fuels. The terminal is the largest European green and clean energy project, delivering 250 TWh of clean and green energy by 2045 at significant global scalability potential.
Germany has ambitious plans to achieve net-zero by 2045 and TES’ Wilhelmshaven hydrogen terminal will play a significant part in this. The new showroom – the first of its kind in Germany – will help introduce TES’s vision for a sustainable future to citizens and local communities and serve as an exhibition area to demonstrate how solutions will be implemented at the terminal.
